Phillip Solomond is a Principal in the Infrastructure Group. Previously, Mr. Solomond worked in the Real Estate Group where he focused on investments in the Retail, Gaming and Senior Housing sectors. Since joining Blackstone in 2008, Mr. Solomond has been involved in the execution of many Blackstone investments including the acquisition of Brixmor Property Group, the recapitalization of General Growth Properties and the acquisition of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Mr. Solomond was also one of the initial team members of Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) when it launched in 2008. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Solomond worked at Morgan Stanley, where he was an Analyst in the Real Estate group and was involved in a variety of investment banking and private equity transactions. Mr. Solomond received a BSE in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
