Robert Brooks is a Senior Vice President in the Private Equity and Tactical Opportunities groups. He currently leads the Valuation teams and oversees Financial Planning and Analysis for both Private Equity and Tac Opps including ad hoc analyses in support of the businesses. Previously, Mr. Brooks worked in the Business Development group focused on strategic mergers and acquisitions, new business initiatives, and special projects in support of Blackstone’s business units. His involvement in various strategic planning projects and new business initiatives has included the firm's initial public offering, senior notes issuances, the spin-off of PJT Partners, the launch of PWM and BXCM, as well as the GSO, Pátria, Capital Trust, and Strategic Partners transactions.
Before joining Blackstone in 2006, Mr. Brooks worked as an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers focused on the alternative asset management sector.
Mr. Brooks graduated from Villanova University with a BS in Finance, a BS in Accountancy, and a Master’s degree in Finance.
